You’re breaking my heart, Doug. Anyone would be lucky to have you - and I think Ned really likes you a lot more than he’s willing to admit.

He's 100% right on saying that though, when it is in fact impossible for both partners to figure one another out in several days. There is a glimmer of hope in this situation, but Doug is going to have to take that final wall down all on his own if he wants for that chance to be with Ned to become reality.

Poor Doug. This is what happens when insecurity takes over. Hang in there Doug! You both need to build a foundation first. It'll happen.

Poor Doug. He has feelings and is unsure if Ned has them back.

Jus sayin I love how socially awkward they are. But I need to know more bout Doug's friend, is he gay?

The story is just so deep and so meaningful.

DAMNIT, I CAUGHT UP TO A CLIFFHANGER.I started reading this last year and stopped out of fear it would be a bad end and my heart would break(I do that a lot) and now that I finally got the courage start again, you leave me on an emotional cliffhanger, sad because Doug's upset, worrying about his relationship with Ned, making ME worry about his relationship with Ned, and overall just wanting to cry from the tension and stress of the lives of fictional people?!? HOW COULD YOU AUTHOR, YOU TERRIBLE WONDERFUL PERSON I HATE HOW MUCH I LOVE YOUR STUPID AWESOME CHARACTERS, HOW DARE YOU MAKE ME CARE ABOUT AND FEEL FOR BEAUTIFULLY DRAWN PICTURES! CURSE YOUR WONDERFUL CREATION! CURSE ITS PERFECTION!

Seeing the way you handle a realistic relationship in both romantic and friendship contexts yet add your own spin on it to reflect the existence of the string in this universe makes me smile. You've such a handle on storytelling.
