Awe poor kid. He's more worried about Ned than his own feelings. That's not selfish, that's caring.

This story truly does pull at my heart, because at one point in time in my life, I was experiencing something similar to what Doug is having to go through personality wise. I was just super lucky in finding the right person to break down my walls, to get through to me on a mental level. I really do hope that Ned reciprocates, and they can be happy together. With the way the story is going as of right now, the type of ending is up in the air.

The fourth wall will need to be broken, and someone is going to have to give, as the heart can only take so much if the creator is intending on the ending being a more so happy, then sad one.

@tksocrazy: A thoughtful comment. Thank you. I will say i like happy endings, but this is the first story i've drawn. I play by ear. :>

@Torakodragon: That's really sweet of you, to take the time out of your day to reply back to my comment.

There are times where I want for the characters to suffer, but more often then not I don't. Typically speaking, when I see the main characters suffer, that's a good sign, because it'll tend to lead them on the right path eventually, and make the bond grow that much stronger because they survived what they were experiencing together.

A relationship like this one is fragile though, and has to be treated with a great amount of care. The way that you express what Doug is dealing with, while also what Ned is dealing with, is right on point which makes me love this story even more. You're a great storyteller Torakodragon, and an even better artist, so keep up the good work hun. I'm looking forward to where you'll end up taking it.
